Identification: 

-Pendulous, weeping form
-Simple leaf, slender and curly with a fine toothed margin, yellow-green
-Contorted yellow-green stems

Note:   A slower growth rate and tolerance to drier site make this species an acceptable alternative to the Weeping Willow (Salix babylonica). Still, relatively weak wood and susceptibility to insect and disease damage make this species relatively short-lived in the landscape.  The contorted stems give this willow an interesting appearance, especially in the winter.
